It feels so nice updating my blog, it has been a while. I apologize for my absence, with the holidays and a weeklong trip to Disney World, I’ve been extremely busy. But my New Year’s resolution this year is to post once a week consistently and possibly begin my YouTube Chanel this summer, fingers crossed!
Today’s look is one that I wore for an office Christmas party last month. Yes, I know it’s a little too late to do a “Holiday look” BUT I think it is appropriate for any occasion this time of year, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up! So if you’d like to know what products I used to create this look, let’s get started!
Primer- So I’ve been using two different primers lately and I’m loving the combination. On the places where I have pores (my nose and the area around the nose), I’ve been pressing Maybelline’s Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser Primer into my skin to fill in those pores. On the rest of the face, I’ve been applying the NYX Photo-Loving Primer which focuses on making my face appear flawless and makes my makeup long lasting. As I let this absorb into my skin, I move on to my brows!
Eyebrows- I’ve been combining two NYX eyebrow products, the Micro Brow Pencil in Chocolate and their Tinted Brow Mascara in Black. I usually use their pencil in Espresso but Ulta was out when I needed it, but combining it with the darker brow mascara ends up making them the right color.
Eye Shadow- First, I based my eyes with MAC “Prep and Prime” in Medium Dark and set it with “White Chocolate” from the Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette (all eye shadows used from this palette as well) to cover the veins in my eyelids. For my transition shades I used “Milk Chocolate” and “Salted Caramel”. In the crease I lightly applied “Triple Fudge” and smudged this dark brown on the outsides of my lower lash line. I applied “Crème Brulee”, a beautiful gold shadow, on the inside half of my lids and in the inner corners and I used “White Chocolate” again as a matte brow bone highlight.
Eye Liner- Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black.
Mascara- Covergirl Clumpcrusher Extensions Lashblast Mascara.
Foundation- Revlon Photo Ready Airbrush Effect Foundation in 008 Golden Beige.
Concealer- I applied Revlon Colorstay Concealer in 03 Light Medium underneath my eyes, down the nose, on the chin and a little on the forehead to highlight.
Setting Powder- I set my face in Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent to help my blush, contour, etc to apply evenly and less patchy.
Bronzer- Prestige’s “Illuminating Bronzing Powder” in Sunkissed.
Contour- The Balm’s “Bahama Mama” Bronzer.
Blush- MAC Pro Longwear Blush in “Blush All Day”.
Highlighter- I applied Hard Candy’s “Tiki” Baked Bronzer on my cheek bones, down my nose and on the inner corner of my eyes.
Lip Stick- Sephora’s Cream Lip Stain in “Always Red”. This was my go to Red lip for the entire month of December, these cream lip stains are amazing!
