Hey everyone!
I’m back to discuss with you all this week about my current favorite affordable foundation brush!
I wanted to talk about this brush because I recently just fell back in love with it and have been wondering why I haven’t heard anyone talk about!
The brush I’m referring to is the Sonia Kashuk Core Tools Synthetic Buffing Brush. I purchased mine in Target and although I’m not sure how much I paid for it a year ago, it is currently priced at $14.
Packaging- I love the white and silver handle and how the bristles change color towards the tips. I feel that both qualities make the brush look sleek and high end and not cheap!
Quality- The quality of this brush is really really nice. The brush itself doesn’t feel flimsy or cheaply made, it’s nice and sturdy, which is what you should want in your foundation brush. The bristles are long but very dense! I imagine it isn’t as dense as the Sigma F80, but it has to be pretty close. And I have had no problems with shedding at all, which is pretty amazing. I’ve also had this brush for a year now and it still works amazing.
The main reason why I love this brush? Because it gives me a flawless airbrushed finish!
I bought a couple of Real Techniques brushes and was using the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush to apply my foundation for a while. I have to admit, I don’t like using this brush for foundation. It’s too small for me, which makes the applying process much longer than usual. I also noticed that when I used this brush, it made my foundation look a bit streaky, even while using buffing/circular motions! So I stopped using it one morning and went back to my Sonia Kashuk brush and haven’t gone back since! The day that I switched back to the SK brush, I couldn’t believe how flawless my face looked. I was even complimented on my makeup at work that very day. So yes, I definitely suggest this brush if you’re looking for a more affordable brush or if you haven’t found the right one. The brush has SUCH good quality, it’s amazing.
Now I was hoping to get some feedback from you guys! From beauty bloggers who aren’t sponsored or paid to say that they like certain products.
For those of you who have tried the beauty blender or the Sigma F80, please comment below and tell me how you feel about them! Especially if you’ve tried both, let me know if you recommend one over the other. These are the next two foundation applicator’s I want to try but I’m trying to figure out which one is best so I can just buy one and not the other, ya know?

Thank you!
I have the Sigma F80! It’s a nice brush but definitely not my favorite, and I don’t think it’s worth the hype. It performs the same as cheaper, similar flat top buki brushes. I’m going to add this brush to my wishlist!
Awesome, thank you for your honest feedback!
This is actually the first review I’ve seen of the SK foundation brush. I’m sure it’s amazing! I’m a fan of her bent eyeliner brush.
Yeah I realized that too the other day so I wanted to put info on the brush out there. I need to try her other brushes!
I already have two sets of makeup brushes and this one is really tempting me for two reasons – the first one because it is affordable and the second one is the brand which I always adore for. https://lifestylebites3.wordpress.com
I need to try this!
Sonia Kashuk has amazing stuff! She sells all her stuff at target and is super affordable too =)
Love her line! I just bought her bronzer and LOVE it.
OOlalala you should do a review!
I already did! Haha. I talked about it in my mini drug store haul blog post last week!
Uh oh im slacking! I need to check it out =)
Just checked it out AWESOME!!!!!
Thanks girl! 🙂
Welcome darling xo!
Hi! 🙂 I have a problem with foundation brushes because they all leave brush strokes on my face. 😦 Does this brush do that? I have tried the Original Beauty Blender- nice but expensive and you have to keep repurchasing, Real Techniques foundation brushes but they leave brush strokes on my face 😦 .
Currently I have been using Real Techniques Beauty Blender because it doesn’t leave brush strokes and it’s affordable. Of course overtime, repurchasing the blender over and over can get expensive! So I was kind of in the market for a brush as well and of course all of the beauty gurus gush and gush over the Sigma foundation brushes…. Not sure if I will pull the trigger or not…maybe! Thanks for sharing!
